What Is a Circle?

What Is a MENCircle?

The structure that changes men.

A Circle Is:

  • 5–12 men — small enough for real conversation
  • Meeting weekly or bi-weekly — consistency builds trust
  • Guided by a Circle Lead — not a therapist, a fellow brother
  • Following the MEN Brotherhood Code — a shared framework for safety and growth
  • Focused on growth and accountability — not just talk

How a Circle Meeting Flows

1. Check-In

How is each brother doing? Honest, brief, personal.

2. Wins & Lessons

What improved since last meeting? What didn’t? No judgment.

3. Deep Dive

A topic, challenge, or growth area explored together.

4. Accountability Round

Each brother states his commitment for the coming week.

5. Brother’s Blessing

Encouragement, affirmation, and support for the week ahead.

Total time: 60–90 minutes.

The Circle Rules

  • What is said in the Circle stays in the Circle
  • No judgment
  • No ego
  • No competition
  • No pretending
  • No man left behind

These are not suggestions. They are the foundation of every Circle.

Who Leads a Circle?

A Circle Lead is not a counselor or a pastor. He is a fellow brother who has completed the Circle Lead Orientation and demonstrated emotional maturity, consistency, and commitment to the Brotherhood Code.

His role is to:

  • Facilitate the meeting flow
  • Ensure the Circle rules are upheld
  • Maintain the health of the group
  • Support brothers between sessions when needed
  • Report to his Chapter Lead or MENGlobal
